AI Use Policy
I believe in being completely open about how and when I use artificial intelligence in my work. This policy explains my approach so you always know what you’re getting.

My approach
I use AI to enhance my work. Every piece of content is shaped by my professional judgement, knowledge of your brand, and creative instinct. AI is a tool in that process, not a shortcut around it.
None of the creative work you pay for is generic AI generated rubbish. I bring ideas, taste, storytelling, judgement, and an understanding of the audience, all of which AI is not very good at currently.
I’m selective about the tools I use, maximising efficiency and reducing energy use when I do use it. AI can add value by speeding up research, exploring ideas, refining copy, and handling repetitive tasks so I can focus more energy on other things.
Tools I Use
My commitment: I will never pass off AI-generated content as purely my own without review, editing, and applying my professional expertise.
The following AI tools may be used in the course of my work for your project:
What I use AI for
AI may be used for any of the following tasks as part of your project:
- Ideation and brainstorming — generating initial ideas, angles, and approaches before I develop them further.
- Research and background information — exploring topics, summarising sources, identifying trends. All facts are verified before use.
- First drafts — producing a rough draft that I then rewrite, shape, and refine to match your voice and objectives.
- Editing and proofreading — checking grammar, flow, and clarity as part of my review process.
- Image editing and enhancement — using Adobe AI tools to edit, retouch, or enhance images as part of design work.
- SEO and keyword research — exploring search intent and identifying relevant terms to inform content strategy.
What I won't use AI for
There are clear limits to where AI belongs in my work:
- Final, unedited AI output — I will never deliver content that hasn’t been reviewed, edited, and approved by me.
- Inputting confidential client data — sensitive business information, personal data, or proprietary details will never be entered into AI tools.
- Strategy and brand decisions — positioning, messaging strategy, and brand direction are always human-led, drawing on my professional expertise.
- Replacing fact-checking — AI-generated information is always verified against reliable sources before it’s used in your content.
Your choices
If you would prefer that AI tools are not used in work produced on your behalf, just let me know. I’m happy to discuss this as part of our working arrangement. Please be aware that this may affect timelines or project costs, and I’ll always be upfront about that.
If you have specific concerns or questions about how AI has been used in a particular piece of work, please ask. Transparency is part of how I work.
Keeping this current
AI tools are evolving fast, and so is how I use them. I review this policy at least once a year, and I’ll update it whenever my practice changes in a meaningful way. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
